01Where are my trips stored?
On your device, always. Turn on iCloud Backup in Settings if you want a copy saved to your own iCloud Drive — see the Privacy Policy for exactly how that works.
02How do I add a trip?
Tap the + button on the Home or Holidays tab, then fill in a name, destination and date, pick a category, and optionally add a photo. Tap Save and it'll appear straight away.
03What categories are available?
Adventure, Beach, City Break, Cruise, Skiing, Summer, Tropical and Winter — each with its own colour and icon, so your list is easy to scan at a glance.
04Why did my trip disappear from the list?
Holiday Mate only shows upcoming trips. Once a trip's date has passed, it drops off the Home and Holidays lists automatically — nothing is deleted, it just isn't "upcoming" any more.
05How do I back up my trips?
Go to Settings → iCloud Backup → Back Up Now. This saves a copy to your own iCloud Drive. Make sure you're signed in to iCloud on your device first.
06How do I restore a backup?
Go to Settings → iCloud Backup → Restore Backup. This replaces your current trips with the most recent backup, so use it if you've reinstalled the app or switched devices.
07How do I change the app's appearance?
Settings → Appearance lets you switch between light, dark, or matching your device automatically.
08How do I delete a trip, or all my data?
Open a trip and tap Delete Holiday to remove just that one. To clear everything Holiday Mate has ever stored, delete the app — since nothing lives anywhere except your device (and optionally your own iCloud), that's the whole cleanup.
